Want to know what we can do for you

Kitchen Floor Tiled

This was a new build built by Richard Knight but he wanted to give the tiling work to us. The kitchen was a very large area which was open plan and created a large Kitchen/Dining area. The floor ran into the Utility, Downstairs Toilet and under the stairs into a small boiler room.

So there was quite a lot of working out running into the different rooms and making sure it all ran true and square as the tiles went into each room. The floor needed screeding to fill any small discrepancies before laying the tiles. Screeding a floor not only makes a better floor to work with, you end up using less tile adhesive and also if the floor is level you lay the tiles faster.

The tiles Richard had chosen were a grey wood effect which we laid as if they were real wood planks. Staggering the joints so it looked like a real wood floor but with out the problems a wooden floor can cause in a wet areas. Also with coming straight in from outside the floor type needed to be very hard wearing.
